Rosen
Method (Emotional Release) Bodywork
Rosen
Method Bodywork involves gentle, yet firm, touch with
accompanying
verbal interaction. This
combination creates a space for you to release physical tension as well
as
underlying emotional holding.
Who
benefits? Those who are dealing with:
- Trauma
- Depression
- Fertility Issues
- Eating Disorders
- Relationship Issues
- Spiritual Emergence
- Chronic aches and pains
When feelings are not allowed
or certain experiences are not completed, the body holds what is
denied. The
energy spent in holding unallowable feelings at bay is not available
for
present day life.
As
a practitioner, I focus on helping you become
aware of what is held, allowing your muscle tension to relax and
opening the
door to an exploration of the underlying emotional holding.
You
may experience increased well-being
and trust, a deeper connection with your true self.
Origin
of the work
Rosen Method Bodywork was developed by Marion Rosen, a physical
therapist who also had studied breathwork. Marion noticed that when
people
talked
about their injuries, their memories and their lives, they healed more
quickly
and did not have recurring problems.
At the age of 60, Marion changed the focus of her physical therapy
practice to the emotional release work, focusing on the causes of tight
muscles, chronic aches and pains, and low vitality.
Marion also developed Rosen Method Movement, to keep help
people recover after accidents or trauma and to help
them maintain or regain mobility and flexibility.
